Empowering students and Hams for a brighter future.

Supporting Education and the future of Amateur Radio.

An Amateur Radio Response & Education Trailer (RET) will enhance the ability of Licensed members to give back to the community and advance public understanding of Amateur Radio and related technologies.

Both adults and students attending events that the Trailer is at will see a working amateur radio station and learn about the equipment, technology, and services that amateur radio provides to communities. The Trailer will provide a mobile space to host demonstrations and teach those who are interested in Amateur Radio, with a focus on youth in our community.

Serving our Community

In Addition to Education, a Response & Education Trailer can be used to support various events in the community as a mobile command and aid station. Our community currently utilizes amateur radio operators for communications and tracking abilities during rally, bike, marathon, and paddle boat races. In times of crisis the trailer can be used/loaned to Emergency Communication groups, such as ARES, RACES or SATERN as a communications asset.

Current Project

We are seeking funding to support our mission to buy and build out a trailer. Our primary goal during this process is to minimize cost while maximizing our efforts to support our community and education to new hams and local school STEM programs. We would like to think WA8LMF Mr. Smith for the inspiration. His low cost Micro-EOC trailer (picture right) can be pulled by almost anyone and easily set up in minimal time. The current estimated cost for a full similar build out is 40k

Get Involved

Education happens within the context of a larger community. We encourage licensed amateur radio operators to join us in or mission. Contact us for more information.

There is always a way to make a large impact to our project and that is to donate! Every dollar counts. We are a non-profit volunteer organization that will benefit the community as a whole; please consider helping us achieve that goal!
