Belleview School Project
The Belleview School STEM Director reached out for assistance with a repeater and tower installation. We jumped at the chance to help! Here’s our progress to date:
Site survey completed
Grant funding secured from ARRL for the repeater, coax, antenna, and a refurbished tower.
The School has been given a repeater pair in the 440 MHz Band space from the Missouri Repeater Council.
Hole has been excavated for the the tower base.
Next steps will be to get the forms and rebar cage made, set the tower base and start pouring concrete. Timeline TBD this summer. The tower can then be erected and we can install the repeaters and antenna. We also plan on assisting with repeater programing.
***7/4/24 UPDATE***
The concrete base has been poured and the base set. Tower and antenna install to come in August.

Trailer Project,
More Details Coming Soon!
The Education Trailer, A portable, 2 person, fully equipped, Amateur radio station.
Having a portable ham radio station would change the landscape for ham radio in my community.
Why? Let me tell you.
Education - Ham radio Is STEM! With the help of our local schools and class’s we put on, We believe we can inspire anyone of any age to engage in ham radio. Having a mobile station will help in a big way allowing us to take the trailer to, schools for students and teachers to use, events for show and tell, teaching aid for ham classes, and test station allowing new operators to get on the air and try out different radios.
Preparation - Utilizing the trailer for Em-com Training for our ARES Members and operators open many opportunities for all. More Participation for those with only an HT, Net Control training, Win-link and APRS training, and many more.
Community Interaction - taking the trailer to local community events and teaching about ham radio and showing off how easy it can be to get into ham radio and promote the hobby as a whole.
Community Support - Utilizing the trailer for large events where members are asked to assist in communications, the trailer can be used in many ways, net control station, back up station, remote operator station, cross band repeater location, aid station, and many more.
